Super Good Films is one of the outstanding film production houses in Tamil Nadu, which can be proud of making, more than fifty films in Tamil, besides a few Malayalam and Telugu films. In fact, its head R.B.Choudary who started his production unit with a couple of Malayalam films, added more pride to Tamil cinema by making his first Tamil film'Puthu Vasantham',win both the Tamil Nadu state government award and the Filmfare award for best film.
R.B.Choudary is also reputed for making successful Tamil films like Puriyaadha Pudhir,Cheran Pandian,Poove Unakkaaga,Naattaamai,Love Today,Thulladha Manamum Thullum,Sundara Purushan,Raja,Natpukkaaka,Anandam,E,Sollaamale, Suriya vamsam,Jilla,Rowthiram and other moderate hits like Putham Puthu Payanam, Simmarasi,Captain,Shajahan,Poomagal Oorvalam,Nee Varuvaai Ena,Unnaikodu Ennai Tharuven and Gokulam.
Choudary's son Jeeva alias Amar Choudary, was introduced straight away as hero in Aasai Aasaiyaai {2003}followed by Thithikkudhe, produced under his father's home banner. It was Ameer's best known film 'Ram'{2005}that brought out Jeeva's inherent performance potential in the highly challenging role of an excessively mother obsessed son, undergoing sporadic mental convulsions. His impressive performance earned him a prestigious award at the Cyprus International Film festival. This recognition is considered to be unique because, only Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan was credited with such an award earlier.
Jeeva is a natural actor with his body and mind bound to the character as a casual condition.Chennai slang comes to him like child's play and he exuberantly delivered it in E,another worthy film, directed by exceptional film maker,{late}Jananadhan. In the role of an orphaned criminal, his performance became extremely noteworthy. The film was a medical thriller with a substantial cast, that included Pasupathi,Nayanthara,Karunas and Aasish Vidhyarthi.A focused watch of the film, will duly exhibit the spontaneous acting flair of Jeeva in the film, vibrantly supported by Karunas.
Jeeva has been lucky in acting in the films of Shankar{Nanban},Gautham Vasudev Menon{Needhaane En Pon Vasantham}K.V.Anand{Ko}and Mysskin{Mugamoodi}. His other films like Rameswaram,Rowthiram,Thenavettu and Kalathil Santhippom projected him as an ebullient action hero.Jeeva's love for spot humour came out captivatingly in the film Siva Manasula Sakthi.
This film made by M.Rajesh was a fascinating humour show depicting many a U turn of the romantic element in an unusual frame. With Santhanam,Jeeva explored the romantic and humour components of Tamil cinema,by his invincible style and made the film the talk of the youth. The enormous success of the film allured him to do a cameo role in M.Rajesh's Boss Engira Baskaran starring Aryaa,Nayanthara and Santhanam.
Jeeva also did the amazing role of cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth in the Hindi film'83'.He portrayed the role of the famous Tamil Nadu cricketer with consummate felicity, especially in a scene impressively interpreting the dreams and aspirations of Indian team's captain Kapil Dev,to win the world cup.The way he casually pulled down the vanity of a British journalist, carried enough punch and style, reflective of the cricketer Srikanth and the actor in Jeeva. In a movie packed with sports emotions and pride of patriotism,Jeeva's role was both enchanting and specially noteworthy.
Daring action play, delightful romance, distinct dialogue delivery and convincing humour are the wholesome traits of Jeeva's screen throw. In most of his films, one could see a kind of dauntless portrayal of roles, with either a happy-go-lucky spirit,or a devil may care attitude. He hardly gets alienated from the character that he dons and the homely feel that he imbibes in performing his roles, makes him stamp an image of the character rather than the actor. He is one among those heroes, who are inherently comfortable in dissipating into the characters assigned to them.
Jiva has neatly earmarked his programme and schedule of acting, without giving room for being typecast as a single model hero.He seems to have a clear plan for his career growth trajectoy.Like Vijay,Jeyam Ravi and Dhanush,he too hailed from a strongly built, home background,to try his place as hero in Tamil Cinema.Like the other three heroes,he too has consistently proved that he has the capacity to reach new heights on his own merit, without clinging to the family strength for self projection.Being buoyant and cheerful in his temperamental bonding to the silver screen,Jiva has'promises to keep and miles to go'in his journey to stardom.
